Boring
What is Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)
Directional Boring is a trenchless horizontal drilling technique and allows installation of new fiber optics and other utility lines to reach thousands of feet. HDD is a safe environmentally friendly technique where a predetermined tunnel is drilled underground to allow a pipeline or other utility to be pulled through with minimal impact to the above ground landscape. RR Waste & Septic uses use advanced technology above and below ground to ensure the drill head is tracked electronically to verify its positioning and accuracy. A mud slurry mixture helps keep the tunnel open and lubricated. Once the desired hole is reached the drill is replaced with a reamer which is then pulled back through to widen the drilling hole and pulls a pipeline behind it.
With tens of thousands of thrust are machines are capable of pulling fiber optic, various conduit, pipes through the pre-drilled hole. Contact us today to discuss you project.
Benefits:
Horizontal Directional Drilling is providing the opportunity to drill without disruption. Boring underground using a horizontal directional drill which has less impact on the current landscape and important infrastructure already in place. Drilling underground expands the possibilities at a cost savings to the company to add and expand on utility installations. The compact drill allows for smaller crews to get in quickly and set up with limited traffic disturbance and less impact on the job site current environmental surroundings. Added benefits come with directionally boring underground such as quicker turnaround times and more cost efficient. HDD allows for an easier unique installation of new utility lines especially when they need to be constructed under roads, in tight areas of the city and around neighborhoods as well as rivers and wetlands.Ideal Projects for Horizontal Drilling
